Resurgence.

First of all,

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE

It's mah favorite time of the year.

But for now, I'm not gonna update about Christmas first. Because of internet issues and my long absence and also my LAZINESS, I shall blog about Christmas some other time. So now  I shall blog about Nexgen camp! :D

Days before the camp I really didn't feel excited at all. I never went for a youth camp before and I really didn't see what would come out of it. I thought it was boring and I should just get it over with.

The first few days of camp I still had the same thinking. It wasn't really boring. The hotel was called LeParis Hotel Beach Resort, and it doesn't really live up to it's name. The food was below average, the hotel rooms are a bit old and dirty and the whole place was freezing.

And we couldn't even go inside the pool OR TO THE BEACH. So yeah I didn't really like the activities except for the sessions. The speaker was awesome since the first session :D

But towards the end of camp I was really proved wrong.

My group started acting as a team and everything turned out to a more positive side. Especially the praying sessions.

We had long, SUPER LONG praying sessions. And during them, I wasn't bored, but I felt Him, so strong, like I never felt him before. He was really ministering to me. And I could hear him speaking to me after getting slain numerous times.

One of the pastors prayed for me and called me out for some of my sins and it was DEAD ON. I was really creeped out but then realized that it was only for my benefit.

Towards camp, since after CF and finals, I felt like I was just enjoying life and was drifting further and further away from God. But I believe that this camp really reaffirms my faith. It was truly what I needed.

I learned so much more about him. Pastor Victor (who is an excellent speaker) played a long clip about the death and resurrection of Jesus. From how he was betrayed, and trialled, and whipped, carrying a heavy cross through Via Dolorosa while wearing a crown of thorns going in to his skull, and finally getting nailed on his arms and legs on the cross, JUST FOR US. JUST SO OUR SINS WILL BE FORGIVEN. While he was nailed he looked up to his father in heaven and said "Father please forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing." And I was really touched.

After that we wrote down what was keeping us from God on a piece of paper, then there was this cross in the middle of the hall, and a trashcan below it. We were told to tear our paper into pieces and throw it into the rubbish bin, and then we knelt, before the cross for a really long time, just so we get to spend time with him. Many of us were touched to tears, just kneeling before Him, in His presence. And I told myself that, with His guidance and help, these things will never bring me away from God again.

It was truly one of the greatest and life changing experiences I had in my life, this camp. And I believed that RESURGENCE (camp's theme) truly happened. Not only to me, but to everyone else in that camp.

I wasn't the one that was touched most, though I was a lot. But the last activity we had were a sharing session where people would go up and talk about their camp. As I hear some funny stories and some that touched me to tears, I looked up and said "You made all this happened, thank you." Some people's whole life was changed, just because of this camp.

I want to thank everyone involved for an awesome camp. And I am looking forward to the next one :)

So yeah, that was my experience. Wow, I knew that I was gonna write a lot, but I didn't expect that much. You are awesome if you are still reading ;)

I was camp photographer. And I want to thank this person so much!

Thank you NEW WEI JING for lending me her DSLR to take pictures! I'm very thankful. At least now the pictures aren't THAT bad. :D

I took hundreds and hundreds of pictures but I don't think I'm allowed to post them. But they should be up on Facebook very soon so I will share the link here. I posted some personal ones on Sara's FB, go check it out!  But now I shall post SOME of the camp pictures here.

Riyen invited a bunch of form 3s, so lucky cause everyone I invited couldn't come. And they definitely made the whole camp funner. Some of them even accepted Him.

And they were also really obsessed with Denzil cause apparently he has very cool hair and took a lot of pictures with him, which you can see on the FB group they created -.- BASED ON HIM. hahaha he's really happy that he has fans!
